Have you ever wondered why a classroom gets warmer with more students in it? Or what fertilizer works best for your plants? Or why onions make you cry when you cut them?
To help answer these observational questions, scientists use something called the Scientific Method.
Using the Scientific Method, you can test a hypothesis or guess you may have as to why something happens. There are five steps to use the Scientific Method:
1. Ask a question
2. Form a hypothesis
3. Conduct an experiment
4. Observe the results
5. Make a conclusion
In this educational video, Nathan from Sub Zero Ice Cream demonstrates the transformative effects of liquid nitrogen with a series of exciting science experiments while using the Scientific Method!
Liquid nitrogen is the liquid form of nitrogen gas. At extremely low temperatures, nitrogen gas condenses and turns into a clear, super cold liquid. It can freeze things very quickly, and it turns into a gas as soon as it comes into contact with warmer things.
Happy learning!
