Happy Valentine's Day!
Looking to mix your love for this holiday with your love for science projects? Check out this fun Viscosity Experiment!
Viscosity is the measure of a fluid's resistance to flow. The higher the viscosity of a liquid, the thicker it is and the greater is its resistance to flow.
In this educational video, Jessie tests out the viscosity of six different types of liquids. Watch as she pours the liquids into different cups, then drops perler beads inside to see how they react. Do they float? Do they sink? Do they stay on top of the liquid?
This is a great way to understand viscosity!
Materials needed:
- Water
- Paint
- Hair conditioner
- Baby oil
- Hand sanitizer
