Our "Shapes Song" is a groovy and interactive song for kids that introduces four 2D shapes: circle, triangle, square, and rectangle. In each verse, a shape describes itself and asks the kids to guess what they are. As they introduce themselves, they turn into objects that resemble their shape, to show how they can be found in many different every day objects. During the chorus, our cute characters ride a bus through a landscape in which they find lots of things made of the shapes they just learned. The words and melody of the chorus are catchy and easy to sing along. We have also provided the lyrics on the screen for the teachers and parents!
The Singing Walrus
We are teachers and professional musicians who produce fun kids songs and other educational media for teachers and parents. Our songs are interactive, easy to sing along, and very catchy! Many of them are written in a call-and-response structure, which encourages the children to really engage with the music and learn new things in a playful way.
As passionate educators, we recognize the incredible creativity and imagination in children, and we hope that our Singing Walrus world will become a fun place for them to learn and enjoy.
