Woody Guthrie’s words, humour, and life lessons are at the heart of our new album, Songs for Singin'. "Hope Machine" is a homage to one of Woody’s journal entries entitled “New Year’s Rulins” which resolves to “work more and better, wash teeth if any, and change socks.” This little list inspired our own series of personal routine reminders in order to keep our hope machine running strong. Oh, what’s a Hope Machine, you ask? Well, everybody has to reach down deep inside to find out.
The Okee Dokee Brothers
As childhood friends growing up in Denver Colorado, Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing were always exploring the outdoors. Now, as the GRAMMY® Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, they record and perform family music with a goal to inspire children and their parents to get outside and experience nature. They believe this can motivate kids to gain a greater respect for the natural world, their communities and themselves.
