A food chain is a single path, which help us to work out who eats whom in a habitat, in order to get the energy and materials required for nutrition. So for example, the grass uses energy from the sun, the zebra eats the grass, a lion then eats the zebra. Think of it as the food’s journey into the mouth of the next organism. When you join all the food chains in a habitat together, you get a food web. In this video we are going to show you how they work.
FuseSchool
FuseSchool is a global education charity that empowers learners all over the world by providing free high-quality digital education. We do so by breaking down science and maths curriculums into small bite-size chunks of learning, and animating them to create fun and easy to understand videos. FuseSchool is now used for free by more than 10 million children every year, trusted by thousands of teachers and ministries of education across the world.
