Let's learn about how rivers flow! Our 'Fantastic Science' teachers demonstrate how to make a real flowing river model. In this video, you will learn to design and develop a flowing river model while learning some facts about rivers. You will also be using simples science tools, experimenting, using their observations and ideas to suggest answers to questions, performing simple tests and describing the simple physical properties of a variety of everyday materials we use to build our model! This is a true science experiment combined with some design and technology!
What you need:
- Aluminium pan
- Aluminium foil
- Bottle of water
- Blue food colouring
- Sticky tape
- 1 nail
- Scissors
- Pebbles
- Sand
- Wood chips
- A small bowl
- A box or book to prop up the model
- Some paper towels
