Janet Ivey is the Creator of Janet’s Planet. Janet Ivey is committed to enriching the lives of children through education and programming. With over 17 years in the media, Ivey has captivated Nashville and beyond with her work and she has received 12 Regional Emmys, 5 Gracie Allen awards and a STEMFLORIDA award for her children’s series Janet’s Planet. This dynamic and fast-paced series is geared to 6 - 10 year olds and focuses on science, space, history and health. Performing as her character from Janet’s Planet™, Janet presents two live shows in performing arts centers around the globe, “Tour of the Solar System” and “Exploring Microgravity.” Through the use of humor, theatrical antics, visual illusions, enticing graphic elements, and opportunities to join Janet on stage, students are fully engaged in the experience.
